What is Vincent Ergo?

Vincent Ergo is an immersive theatre experience, brought to you by Controlled Choas Productions. It tells an adapted version of the last 8 years of Vincent van Gogh’s life through a dark and provocative lens. The intimate experience lasts for approx 1.5 hours, is performed at 107 Projects Redfern, and promises to be a unique, educational and thrilling performance

Vincent Ergo addresses adult concepts, requires standing and walking through captivating spaces, and uses dramatic lighting and music to stimulate your senses.

What is ‘immersive theatre’?

Immersive theatre allows the audience to walk through the performance space and explore their surroundings. Rather than sit in a formal theatre and watch a stage, the audience move on a journey from one performance space into another as the story unfolds. The play is performed by professional actors who capture the attention of the audience through their telling of the story. At times, the audience are invited to interact with these characters, but if you would rather not interact that’s completely fine too. Just stand back, observe, and enjoy the journey

Is Vincent Ergo Covid-19 safe?

Absolutely! Audience numbers for each intimate show are well below current Covid-19 restrictions. The audience are free to move throughout the performance spaces as they wish, and social distancing will be monitored. 107 Projects maintains strict Covid-19 safety procedures including check ins. Masks will be issued to all audience members as part of the theatrical experience. Although there is ‘immersiveness’’ and ‘interaction’ between the audience and the cast, this is conducted in a safe and responsible manner
